RN – Perioperative Services (Surgical Short Stay) (Contract)

Location: California 93465
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Start: ASAP
Pay: $2,327 – $2,608/week

Schedule

• Variable day shifts (12-hour shifts)

• Start times: 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM

• 3x12s per week

• Call: Backup/second call for PACU only

• Call rotation: 1 weekend every 6 weeks + 1 weeknight/week per 6-week schedule

Position Summary & Responsibilities

• Provide pre-op, PACU (Phase I/II), and short-stay patient care

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care

• Assist with recovery, discharge planning, and patient education

• Administer medications and monitor for post-op complications

• Support perioperative team and function as scrub tech if needed

• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to safety protocols

Requirements

• Active California RN license

• Minimum 5 years pre-op / PACU / Phase II experience required

• Graduate of accredited nursing program

• Acute care or OR experience preferred

Certifications

• Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
