Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland OR Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, helping healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. Work Schedule: Rotating shift, 1:00 PM - 10:30 PM, working four 9-hour shifts per week (36 hours total), with a rotating every-third-weekend schedule. Job Responsibilities: * Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups * Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. * Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner * Process billing information and collect payments when required * Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis * Maintain patient and specimen information logs * Provide superior customer service to all patients * Administrative and clerical duties as necessary * Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: 1 or more years of phlebotomy experience 2 or more years of inpatient phlebotomy experience 6 or more months of direct patient care Additional Job Standards: * In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency * • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test * • Flexibility to work overtime as needed * • Exceptional customer service * • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * • Ability to work independently or in a team environment * • Comfortable working under minimal supervision At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
