Top Wrench is searching for a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic to add to their existing team. Exact pay rate is dependent upon candidate's certifications and experience.

Overview:

In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and service all diesel vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
• Conduct repairs on various vehicle components such as diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, and steering systems.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Repair or replace critical parts like air brakes, powertrain components, axles, and auto body elements while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to disassemble, repair, or replace automotive parts with precision.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and mechanical failures.
• Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced and communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs needed or completed.

Qualifications:

• Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
• Expertise in diesel engine repair, brake repair (including air brake systems), wheel alignment, suspension work (shocks & struts), tire service, and welding techniques.
• Solid mechanical knowledge of powertrain systems, transmissions, automotive electrical systems, and auto body repair.
• Proficient with schematics interpretation and troubleshooting automotive electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with maintenance procedures such as oil changes and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service machinery safely and efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
