Major Duties

• Engages with the public in a professional and courteous manner, providing information on driver licenses, traffic laws, safety regulations, and related topics.
• Conducts applicant screenings, administers tests, processes applications, and ensures adherence to relevant policies and statutes.
• Communicates with both internal and external stakeholders to review and approve license applications.
• Enters application data, payments, and technical details into computer systems.
• Advises applicants on suspensions, cancellations, and qualifications for reinstatement.
• Utilizes computer systems for capturing applicant information and photos.
• Inspects vehicles for safety prior to road tests checks registration and compliance and explains road test procedures.
• Administers driving tests and evaluates applicants' physical capabilities.
• Conducts comprehensive examinations as required, makes pass/fail determinations, and recommends corrective actions for driver improvement.

What are we looking for?

• 2 years of customer service experience in an onsite customer-facing environment.
• Graduation from a two-year college or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience and education may be substituted for one another.
• Texas issued driving license, and a clean driving record is required due to the nature of the role.  

About the Opportunity

• Rate: $27.50/hr. 
• Length of engagement: 6 months (temporary to permanent) .
• Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5pm.
• Location: Taylor, TX 76574
