JBAndrews is proud to be partnering confidentially with a fast-growing global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specializing in the development and GMP manufacturing of protein-based biologics. As the company grows its global reach, it is seeking a hunter-style Director/Senior Director of Business Development to drive sales of end-to-end biologics services . About the Role: As the Director/Senior Director of BD, you’ll play a vital role in expanding market share across the United States. You’ll lead the full commercial cycle—from identifying leads and building senior client relationships to negotiating complex multimillion-dollar deals and closing. This is a high-impact, individual contributor position designed for experienced business developers in the biologics CDMO space , particularly those with existing client networks and a track record of selling services related to recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies . Key Responsibilities: Drive regional sales and account growth across Europe, U.S. West Coast, and key global markets. Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline to meet or exceed annual sales target. Lead strategic BD activities, including lead generation, relationship building, pricing, proposal development, and closing. Develop and maintain key account and market strategies targeting emerging and mid-size biotech/pharma. Align business opportunities with internal capabilities (technical, manufacturing, legal, and operations). Foster strong, trust-based relationships with C-level clients and internal stakeholders. Coordinate internal/external due diligence for deals and contracts. Support marketing intelligence efforts to stay ahead of market trends and competitive dynamics. Represent the company at minimum 3–4 global conferences per year plus client site visits. Requirements: Minimum 3 years of director-level BD/sales experience in the biologics CDMO sector. West coast based preffered Strong domain knowledge of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies . Proven record of closing multimillion-dollar CDMO service deals. Existing network among small to mid-sized biotechs and pharmaceutical companies. Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related life science field (advanced degree a plus). Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment. Experience working across diverse geographies and comfortable with travel for client visits/conferences.
