Schedule: Monday-Friday 9AM to 5PM with rotational Saturdays with team (Once a month) 

About the Opportunity: 

The Member Account Specialist is a front-line, member-facing role responsible for onboarding new members, opening new accounts and helping serve existing members with account setups and questions. Daily work will involve meeting with members in person, as well as answering phone calls and email/online inquiries.

What You'll Do:

• Open an average of 8-10 new member accounts daily
• Onboard new members and explain credit union ownership benefits
• Identify member needs and recommend appropriate products and services
• Assist with account questions, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
• Handle 10-15 calls daily , return voicemails, and respond to member inquiries
• Support online banking, digital services, and electronic transactions
• Manage a high volume of interactions, assisting 40-50 members per day
• Process teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and follow cash-handling and audit procedures
• Follow credit union policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Support daily branch operations and assist team members as needed
• Protect confidential member information
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative, team-oriented environment

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred
• 3+ years of customer service experience
• 1+ years of hands-on cash handling experience
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm, friendly, and accurate in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable engaging with members in person and over the phone
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to travel between both branch locations
