About the Role
The Company is in search of an Interim Managing Director of Programs to lead and support the organization during a temporary period. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of programs that align with the company's mission and meet service and fiscal goals. This role involves leading program directors and teams, supervising staff, driving operational excellence, and maintaining program standards. The Interim Managing Director will also be involved in assessing and implementing best practices, managing contract compliance, and serving as a trusted partner to the CEO and other executive leaders. Applicants for the Interim Managing Director of Programs position at the company should have a minimum of 5-7 years' organizational leadership experience, with a strong background in personnel management, training, and supervision. The role requires solid team leadership skills, experience in program evaluation, and a demonstrated ability in financial planning and budget management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of nonprofit best practices and the service community, particularly in the San Francisco and Bay Area. Core competencies include the ability to implement long-term strategies, strong facilitation and problem-solving skills, and exceptional interpersonal abilities. The Interim Managing Director will be expected to represent the organization at external functions and engage in union bargaining efforts as needed.
