Colville, Inc. is seeking an experienced Mechanic III to join our Fairbanks shop. If you are a skilled diesel or heavy equipment mechanic who takes pride in quality work and wants a stable, non-rotational position, we want to hear from you.

What You Will Do

• Perform advanced diagnostics and major repairs on light- and heavy-duty trucks and equipment
• Complete preventative maintenance and DOT annual inspections
• Troubleshoot engines, transmissions, drivetrains, brakes, suspension, and steering systems
• Rebuild engines, transmissions, and differentials
• Utilize diagnostic software such as Cat ET, Cummins Insight, Davies, and ESA
• Assist with fabrication and welding as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support business operations.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of diesel or heavy equipment mechanic experience
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• Ability to work extended hours when needed
• Ability to perform physically demanding work

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• ASE Certifications or diesel technology training
• Experience with Class 8 trucks and mixed fleets
