Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an outpatient imaging center, requiring dual NMT and CT certification along with nuclear cardiology experience.

Details

• Outpatient adult imaging center setting
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Approximately 6-8 cases per tech per day
• Must float within skillset without exception
• Charting in EPIC
• Procedures include pulmonary (perfusion, ventilation/perfusion), myocardial (exercise/rest single and multiple, pharmacological stress), bone/renal (3 phase, limited, whole body bone scans, captopril renal flow), GI/thyroid/liver (gastric emptying, I-123 uptake scan, liver imaging), and SPECT imaging (bone, thyroid, cardiac)
• Must work or be on-call for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Nuclear cardiology experience required
• BLS certification required
• Must hold ARRT(N) or CNMT for NMT, plus ARRT(CT), NMTCB(CT), or R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) for CT, or R.T.(N)(CT)(ARRT) satisfying both
• Active NJ or Compact license required, pending NJ license may be accepted; license required if applicable
• Experience with bone scans, renal flow studies, myocardial perfusion imaging, gastric emptying studies, thyroid uptake scans, liver imaging, and SPECT imaging required

Additional Information

• Part of an outpatient imaging center connected to the main hospital campus, offering nuclear medicine, CT, MRI, mammography, DEXA, ultrasound, and X-ray services
• Any color scrubs permitted
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Former health system employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks
