Registered Nurse (RN) - NICUWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a level 3 or 4 ICN and will be adept at providing high-quality care to critically ill infants.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive care for premature and surgical infants, including those with hypoxic injury.Monitor patient conditions and perform necessary medical interventions.Utilize specialized equipment and procedures, such as therapeutic hypothermia and nitric oxide therapy.Float to Pediatric and PICU units as required, caring for infants up to 12 months of age.Participate in unit orientation with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.Shift DetailsType: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.Schedule: 36 hours per week with weekend requirements of 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays over 6 weeks.RTO: A maximum of 7 days off is allowable for this position.QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in a level 3 or 4 NICU.Vents experience is required.Certifications: Current BLS and NRP.First-time travelers are welcome to apply.Patient Care and ProceduresCare will involve a range of patient diagnoses, including:Premature infants (as early as 22 weeks gestation)Surgical infantsHypoxic injury casesSpecial procedures include:TecothermBCPAPRam NCAlaris IV pumpsMed Fusion for feedingsServo Vents and HFOVBaby Leo and Giraffe incubatorsUnit SystemsThe unit utilizes various systems including Pyxis, EPIC for electronic documentation, and SBAR for effective communication.Scrubs RequirementsScrubs must be navy blue or white.OrientationAll new hires will undergo 24 hours of orientation to familiarize themselves with unit protocols and procedures.Please note: Christmas RTO is not permitted.
