Job Description AI Solutions Developer Location: Seattle, WA (On-site, Remote) — Must live within reasonable commuting distance of an office in Bellevue & Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Los Angeles & San Francisco, CA; Washington DC; or New York City. Work Arrangement: Remote or hybrid, based on preference and performance. Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence Role Overview Design and build intelligent applications combining generative AI, data, and legal process expertise. Collaborate with partners, practice-group leaders, and data engineers to turn ideas into products that make legal work faster, smarter, and more client-centric. Hands-on engineering role requiring innovation and delivery from concept to production. Key Responsibilities Architect, build, and deploy LLM-powered applications (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, LangChain) integrated with firm systems. Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, prompt-management frameworks, and secure APIs. Collaborate with practice-group leaders to design solutions for matter intake, document automation, and client collaboration. Translate legal and operational workflows into maintainable code. Partner with IT and data teams for scalability, governance, and security. Document standards, mentor peers, and help define the AI engineering culture. Requirements Experience: 3 years in software development with strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or C#. AI/ML: Practical knowledge of Azure AI, OpenAI API, Bedrock, or Claude; experience with vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Azure AI Search). Architecture: Familiarity with RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and model evaluation. Integration: Proven ability to integrate AI with enterprise systems (e.g., M365, NetDocuments, 3E). Environment: Comfortable in rapid-prototype environments with weekly iterations.
