CORRECTIONAL CASE RECORDS SUPERVISOR

Job Title Correctional Case Records Supervisor Location and Salary Marin County (San Quentin). Salary: $6,311.00 - $7,817.00. Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the correctional case records manager, this position performs complex legal and policy interpretations related to processing, maintenance, and control of incarcerated or parole records. Responsibilities include: Supervise the parole tracking system and final parole audit process for all incarcerated people housed in San Quentin’s mainline population. Ensure accurate computations, complete paperwork, and prepare monthly early/late release reports for the central office in Sacramento. Provide training to the CCRA and local staff on time computation and legal interpretations of court documents. Manage specialized records functions or assist a high‑level administrator overseeing a variety of complex record units. Act as liaison with departmental units, county, state, and federal agencies, and courts on complex record‑related matters. Attend court appearances and conduct telephone contracts with representatives of other agencies within the criminal justice system. Complete performance reports and other work‑performance related issues, and participate in testing and hiring interviews for staff vacancies. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet either of the following paths: I. Two years of experience in the California state service performing duties of a Correctional Case Records Analyst, with at least one year at the level of a Correctional Case Records Analyst, Range C. II. Three years of experience in a governmental law‑enforcement or criminal‑justice setting in the maintenance, processing, and control of criminal case records for persons committed to local, state, or federal correctional agencies, including one year of supervisory experience. Additionally, the equivalent of four years of college education (with up to two years of work experience substitutable for education).
