Mobile Kitchen Supervisor

Title of Position: Mobile Kitchen Supervisor Location: Gateways Hospital Exempt/NonExempt: Exempt Union/ Non-Union: Non-Union Supervisor: Director of Dietary Services Summary Of Position Gateways Hospital and Mental Health Center is seeking a Food Truck Manager to oversee operations of our newly acquired food truck, which will support community outreach events, employee engagement initiatives, and special organizational functions. This role is ideal for a hands‑on food service professional who enjoys cooking, customer interaction, and managing food operations independently. The Food Truck Manager will take ownership of food truck operations while also serving as a team lead within the Food Services Department, helping support kitchen operations and food safety standards. This position combines mobile food operations, culinary creativity, and community engagement within a mission‑driven healthcare organization. Essential Duties Food Truck Operations Manage daily operations of the organization’s food truck. Drive and transport the truck to community events, health fairs, and employee functions. Set up, operate, and break down the truck at scheduled events. Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain operational checklists. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Perform other additional tasks as directed. Food Service & Menu Planning Prepare and serve food during events and food truck service days. Assist with menu development and special event menus. Maintain food quality, presentation, and customer service standards. Kitchen Operations & Team Leadership Support kitchen operations within the Food Services Department. Assist with training kitchen staff and maintaining food safety standards. Monitor inventory, order supplies, and ensure kitchen compliance with county regulations. Maintain records related to inventory, operations, and regulatory requirements. Essential Skills Mobile food service or food truck operations Food preparation and culinary operations Food safety and sanitation compliance Customer service and community engagement Inventory management and food supply ordering Cash handling and point of sale transactions Event coordination and food service logistics Independent problem solving and operational ownership Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
