What You'll Do

• Set up and maintain sterile fields for a wide variety of surgical procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon and team needs, ensuring the right instruments and supplies are on hand.
• Perform accurate sponge, needle, and instrument counts to safeguard patient safety.
• Handle specimens properly and ensure they are labeled and processed according to policy.
• Demonstrate proper use and care of surgical instruments, sutures, and stapling devices.
• Assist in training new staff, students, and team members.
• Respond promptly and professionally in emergency situations.
• Support cardiovascular cases as needed (experience preferred but not required).
• Maintain compliance with AORN standards and hospital policies.

What You'll Bring

• Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology.
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license.
• National Certification by AST (or ability to obtain within one year).
• BLS certification (current or obtained upon hire).
• Basic computer literacy for EMR and documentation.
• A calm, confident presence in high-stakes situations.

Preferred: 2+ years recent OR experience, cardiovascular OR exposure, bilingual in Spanish.
