About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year, pediatric experience required License: Current license in hand (Compact or state license) Certifications: BLS, PALS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), APHON Must-Have: Pediatric experience Description: Targeted start date is October 5, 2026. The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience and pediatric experience is required. The following certifications must be in-hand: BLS, PALS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), APHON. Skill set includes: - Accessing and managing ports - Administration of chemotherapy, blood products, and bone marrow - Patient education and support - Recognizing and managing side effects - Care coordination and teamwork in a pediatric oncology setting - Management of central lines, PICC lines, and chest tubes - Usage of infusion pumps and PCA pump management - Knowledge of alterations in skin and mucous membranes - Implementation of precautions for neutropenic patients This role involves caring for a unique and complex patient population, including stem cell transplant recipients and pediatric oncology patients with high-risk conditions. Professional growth opportunities are available through interdisciplinary support and collaboration within a comprehensive care framework. Flexibility to work every other weekend is required. Candidate must maintain responsiveness and meet compliance deadlines throughout the contract duration.
