Nurse Practitioner - Structural Heart

Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
This is a part-time opportunity for an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Structural Heart Program.
The Nurse Practitioner functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the Nurse Practitioner is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The Nurse Practitioner will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The Nurse Practitioner also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered. This is a 50% part-time position.
Salary range:
NP2: $93.81- $133.97 /hourly
NP1 : less than 6 months NP exp : $84.62/hourly
Job Qualifications
- BLS from AHA or ARC
- ACLS from AHA
- CA RN and CA Nurse Practitioner
- State of California NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, National Certification (i.e. ANCC) as AG-ACNP
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP) NP Specialty
- NPI #, DEA #,
- Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES
- Previous NP experience - strongly preferred
- Previous Cardiology or Cardiac Surgery experience-required
- Ability to utilize excel, word and other software program-required
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required
- Skill in working independently and following through with minimum directions-required
- Ability to set priorities-required
- Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required
- Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
- NP1 : less than 6 months exp : $84.62/hourly
