Retail Training Manager

Overview A rapidly growing cannabis operator in Ohio is seeking a Retail Training Manager to elevate the performance of our retail teams across multiple dispensary locations. This is a highly visible field-based role focused on creating exceptional customer experiences, increasing sales effectiveness, and developing product knowledge throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is passionate about coaching and developing people, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and has a proven track record of designing and delivering impactful training programs. What You'll Do Travel regularly throughout Ohio to support multiple dispensary locations. Deliver engaging onboarding, training, and development programs for retail team members and leadership. Coach store teams on customer experience best practices, consultative selling techniques, and operational excellence. Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, product education resources, and learning programs. Partner with retail leadership to identify performance gaps and implement targeted development plans. Conduct store visits, audits, and training assessments to ensure consistency across locations. Stay current on cannabis products, regulations, industry trends, and consumer preferences to continuously improve training content. Support new store openings and expansion initiatives as the company continues to grow. What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience in a dedicated retail training, learning & development, or field training role. Experience delivering training across multiple retail locations. Strong facilitation, presentation, and coaching skills. Passion for customer experience, sales development, and employee engagement. Ability to travel extensively throughout Ohio. Experience in cannabis, specialty retail, hospitality, beauty, wellness, or other customer-focused industries is highly preferred.
