Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center seeks talented Principal Reliability Engineer to join the Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) team. LCE is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable, Sustainable and delivered on time. LCE consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Life Cycle Engineers participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. In this role, you will develop reliability and maintainability analyses and models to ensure our products and systems are highly reliable and sustainable throughout their life.What You Will DoConducting Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses, including reliability predictions and maintainability predictionsPerforming Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) and Fault Detection/Fault Isolation (FDFI) analysesDefining/allocating RAM requirementsAssessing RAM performance: Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time Between Critical Failure (MTBCF) & Operational Availability (Ao)Interpreting data and analyzing resultsPerforming Probability Risk AssessmentEnsuring performance compliance with requirementsMaintaining complex Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and system modelsPerforming Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) tasks, including trend analysis and failure investigations and presenting to internal and external stakeholders at program meetings and Failure Review Boards (FRB)Supporting the proposal process in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for RAM workTracking Earned Value (EV) and providing accurate status on the schedule and budget for the RAM/FRACAS scopeThis position requires domestic travel, which is not expected to exceed 10%.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.Experience with Reliability, Maintainability, Failure Analysis and/or Electrical Design.Qualifications We Prefer Experience with Reliability and FRACAS Engineering Concepts including knowledge of reliability and maintainability predictions, FMECA/FDFI, RBDs, MTBF/MTBCF, Ao and probability risk assessment.Electrical Engineering experience, Electrical Engineering degree/education preferred.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
