About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Behavioral Health Officer (CBHO) to provide strategic and operational leadership for all behavioral health services. The CBHO will be responsible for the integration of a comprehensive continuum of care, including outpatient mental health, substance use disorder treatment, and inpatient services, in a manner that is consistent with the organization's Indigenous Knowledge Informed System of Care. This senior executive role involves ensuring that all programs meet regulatory and accreditation standards, fostering a culture of trauma-informed and culturally attuned care, and leading initiatives for service expansion and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s or doctoral degree in a behavioral health field, current professional licensure, and a minimum of 7 years' of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health. Key responsibilities for the CBHO include strategic planning, financial management, and workforce development. The successful candidate will be a relationship-driven leader, capable of building trust and collaboration across the organization. They must have a proven track record in operational and financial management, experience with HRSA regulations, and a strong commitment to the delivery of appropriate health services to the community. The role also requires a focus on clinical quality, compliance, and the ability to balance the demands of executive leadership with a direct care perspective. The CBHO will be expected to champion the organization's mission, uphold Indigenous values and practices, and ensure that the needs of the community are at the forefront of all decision-making.
