AP Specialist

Overview AP Specialist responsible for ensuring the company receives payments for services and properly records transactions. The role requires attention to detail, strong numbers aptitude, and well-developed organizational skills to support timely, accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable activities within the finance function. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, posting, and recording accounts receivable data Prepare remote bank deposits Process credit card payments, proformas, statement and invoice requests for customers Manage inquiries for late payments: issue statements, follow up with customers, track delays, and escalate to management when necessary Process and maintain advanced stage collections when necessary Perform ad hoc reporting and duties as requested by the Accounting Manager Investigate accounts payable discrepancies by coordinating with other departments Process invoices on a day-to-day basis Verify vendor information in the system and match it with invoices Carry out basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures Compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports and ensure payments are compliant with GAAP Prepare reports and assist in projects/tasks as assigned by management Other duties as assigned What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills) 2+ years of experience in AP specialist roles High school education or equivalent experience Knowledge of collection processes and credit research Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, such as posting cash, daily deposits, and credit card processing Excellent organizational and communication skills Knowledge of basic accounting and Great Plains software Clear and effective information and instruction delivery Ability to persuade and build effective teams aligned with company goals Drive for results, sense of urgency, and goal achievement Principled leadership and sound business ethics Special Requirements U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required ITAR requirement Some positions may require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements This position requires access to information subject to ITAR and/or EAR compliance.
