Staff Pharmacist Contract Opportunity

Two Staff Pharmacist positions are available for a contract assignment from late May to mid-August 2026, supporting inpatient services in a hospital setting. This opportunity requires a licensed Ohio Pharmacist with specific skills in hospital pharmacy operations.

Location:

• Based in Dublin, OH with coverage at a medical center in Lancaster, OH
• Facility Details: 222 licensed beds and an average daily census of 120

Qualifications and Experience:

• Ohio Pharmacist license required
• Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity with Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) verification
• Competence in sterile, non-sterile, and hazardous compounding oversight
• Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, including antibiotic and renal dosing
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Verify inpatient medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Provide supervision and verification of compounding processes
• Participate in code response teams as needed
• Collaborate with nursing and provider staff to ensure excellent medication management
• Dispense medications and provide patient education when required
• Oversee pharmacy operations supported by pharmacy technicians who prepare and deliver medications

Work Environment and Systems:

• Order entry performed using Cerner electronic health record system (training available)
• Automated Dispensing Cabinets managed through Pyxis technology
• Coverage schedule includes Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, plus every sixth weekend
