Responsibilities
- Screen and assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing function for patients in the acute care setting; document findings and contribute to care planning.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans; track progress and adjust goals as indicated by patient response.
- Provide bedside therapy and, when appropriate, small-group sessions to address communication and swallowing needs; educate patients and families as needed.
- Conduct swallow evaluations, modify dietary textures, and recommend compensatory strategies to support safe intake.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, participate in rounds, contribute to discharge planning, and ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and ensure compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

Requirements
- Active California license to practice Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC-SLP credential or equivalent professional designation
- Experience or demonstrated ability to work in an acute care or similar clinical setting
- Ability to commit to a 17-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours and flexible scheduling as required
