At BILL, our Inbound Business Development Representatives are often the first human interaction a prospective customer has with our company. This role is more than lead qualification. It is about creating a fast, helpful, and memorable first impression that sets the tone for the entire customer journey. We are looking for ambitious, customer-focused individuals who thrive in a high-velocity environment and are excited by the opportunity to help small and midsize businesses solve real financial challenges. The best Inbound BDRs combine urgency, curiosity, and strong communication skills to engage prospective customers, understand their needs, and connect them with the right Account Executive. This role is also one of the best ways to launch a long-term sales career at BILL. We have a strong track record of promoting high-performing BDRs into Account Executive roles, and many of our top AEs began their careers on the Inbound team.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the first point of contact for prospective BILL customers across phone, chat, web inquiries, and marketing-generated leads
  • Respond quickly and thoughtfully to inbound interest, with a strong focus on speed-to-lead and customer experience
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their business, pain points, and goals
  • Schedule high-quality discovery calls and demos for Account Executives
  • Manage a high volume of inbound conversations across calls, email, chat, and text while maintaining a personalized experience
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless prospect journey
  • Accurately document customer interactions and next steps in Salesforce and other sales tools
  • Continuously learn BILL's product suite and value proposition to confidently articulate how we help businesses manage spend, payables, receivables, and financial operations

This role is eligible to participate in BILL's sales incentive and equity plans. Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed above. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits. The On Target Earnings (OTE) range noted below are remote based roles in the specific geographic zone

Zone 1- San Francisco Bay Area CA (includes HQ), New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles County

$72,010 - $78,416 USD

Zone 2- CA (Non San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles County), Austin TX, Massachusetts

$68,203 - $70,616 USD

Zone 3 -Utah (includes Utah office), Houston TX, Florida, North Carolina

$59,509 - $66,602 USD
