Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients admitted to the intensive care unit. This includes the management of patients requiring mechanical ventilation, vasoactive medications, and other life-sustaining treatments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver critical care and monitor patients in a 15-bed general community ICU.
• Administer medications, including vasoactive agents, as per physician orders.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and ensure optimal respiratory support for patients.
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and health management.
• Document patient progress and respond to any changes in condition.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Experience in critical care nursing is preferred.
