Job Requisition ID #26WD95189Position OverviewWe are growing our Cloud Management team within Autodesk’s Enterprise IT organization. This team designs, provisions, and operates enterprise multi-cloud platforms that enable secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure for Autodesk’s global engineering teams.At the center of this effort is Infrastructure Software Automation Platform, Autodesk’s cloud infrastructure automation system that provisions and manages cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The platform enables self-service infrastructure, enforces governance and security controls, and supports critical workloads across Autodesk’s product ecosystem.As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will design, build, and operate cloud-native services that power infrastructure automation, observability, and operational workflows across multiple cloud providers. You will work closely with senior engineers and architects to deliver reliable, scalable systems using modern cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.In accordance with U.S. government contracting and FedRAMP compliance obligations, this role requires U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency. Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable government security and eligibility requirements.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop serverless and containerized services using Go and PythonBuild and operate microservices using cloud-native compute platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP (e.g., Lambda, Azure Functions, ECS/Fargate, managed container services)Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to manage multi-account and multi-project cloud environmentsDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and CloudOSBuild event-driven workflows using cloud-native messaging and orchestration servicesImplement scalable data persistence using managed databases and object storage servicesContribute to security and compliance controls.Implement monitoring, logging, and tracing using cloud-native observability tools and custom metricsSupport AI-assisted observability initiatives, including intelligent alerting, anomaly detection, and signal correlation using telemetry dataOptimize services for reliability, performance, and cost across cloud providersParticipate in on-call rotations and production incident responseBuild and enhance automated cloud account and project provisioning workflowsDevelop self-service APIs for infrastructure requests and governanceImplement cross-account and cross-project identity and access controlsCreate reusable Terraform modules and service templatesBuild and maintain Docker images and manage deployments via container registriesMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience building and operating production software systemsStrong proficiency in Go or PythonHands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience designing systems intended to run across multiple cloud environmentsExperience with Terraform or CloudFormationExperience with Docker and containerized workloadsFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven designExperience working in Git-based, collaborative engineering environmentsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experiencPreferred QualificationsExperience with multi-cloud architectures spanning AWS, Azure, and GCPExperience with regulated or compliance-driven environmentsExperience working with observability data (metrics, logs, traces)Exposure to AI-powered observability or AIOps toolsKnowledge of cloud identity systems and governance modelsFamiliarity with Kubernetes fundamentals and container orchestration conceptsExposure to managed Kubernetes platforms (EKS, AKS, GKE)Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $117,000 and $209,330. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
