Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The position involves working 4x10 hour night shifts scheduled between 1900-0700, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. This role requires a commitment to a 13-week assignment.Key Responsibilities:Perform direct patient care activities across all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care and maintain professional accountability.Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care team members.Coordinate patient care activities in collaboration with ancillary departments to optimize patient experience and comfort.Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld at all times.Maintain compliance with established guidelines of nursing practice in accordance with state and organizational standards.Qualifications:Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 or 2 Trauma setting, with teaching hospital experience preferred.Experience as a scrub and OR circulator.BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.Unit Information:Number of Beds: Main OR 22, ASC 8, Ortho 10Patient Ratios: 1:1Equipment: Includes DaVinci surgical robot and various other equipment.Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPICAdditional Information:This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who can demonstrate excellent communication skills. The position involves standing and walking for most of the shift, and physical demands include lifting and pushing patients as needed.
