Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations to identify both acute and chronic health issues in students.
• Develop tailored care plans using evidence-based practice standards to address individual student health needs, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests, such as bloodwork or imaging, and confidently prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations.
• Provide essential health education and resources to students and their families, ensuring they understand disease management, medication protocols, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA and school policies, ensuring the confidentiality of student health information.
• Actively participate in school health programs and initiatives, promoting healthy lifestyle choices through workshops and informational sessions.
• Regularly review and update health protocols and policies to align with best practices in pediatric care.
• Engage with parents and guardians to provide guidance on health concerns, addressing questions and promoting a collaborative approach to student wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Current nurse practitioner certification and an active nursing license in the state of Florida.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Nurse Practitioner role offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
