Store Counter Sales (Part Time)

Overview Join the Store Counter Sales (Part Time) role at Genuine Parts Company . As a NAPA Counter Sales associate, you will be the “face of the retail store” and the go‑to person for customers entering our automotive stores. This position is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in automotive parts, work part‑time, or explore future opportunities within the NAPA family. Responsibilities Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter and over the phone. Use your parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions. Deliver outstanding customer care and interact with everyone who enters the store. Bring customer focus and high energy to our fast‑paced stores. Welcome retail customers into the store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience. Utilize technology (computer), cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system. Qualifications Valid Driver’s License. Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or at least a willingness to learn all things auto parts. High School Diploma or GED; Technical or Trade school courses or degree is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Love fast‑paced retail environments and great listening skills with empathy for customers. Preferred (Not a deal breaker) Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership. Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision. Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems. Entirely customer‑centric (external/internal).
