Senior Systems Analyst (Datawarehouse)Plano, TXRequired Skillset: Minimum of 6-8 years of hands-on experience with the following:Working in the following areas:Data Warehousing and ETLData MartsData ProfilingData ModelingData Quality AnalysisModeling Dimensional Databases and Data Marts (includes physical and logical models)Writing complex SQL and stored procedures (DB2 preferred); translating specifications and rules into SQLWorking with data modeling tools (Erwin preferred)Interpreting and writing source to target mappings (ETL transformation rules)Working with string and data manipulation functions and macros with Microsoft ExcelMetadata management and data governanceCreating and maintaining data dictionariesMaintaining and interpreting data lineagesRequired Capabilities:Ability to speak to the various aspects of the SDLCAbility to draw out high-level and detailed designs and represent them as flow diagrams (preferably using Visio)Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specificationsAbility to look at the given system/solution from a tool/technology-agnostic perspective and document deterministic rules / behavior in pseudo-codeAbility to design end-to-end data warehousing / reporting solutions using components like databases, ETL tools and reporting frameworksAbility to provide time estimations for SA activities for a project based on the designAbility to work closely with Development, PV and UAT teams to provide them the required supportAbility to perform and provide a detailed system impact analysis for a given change request and provide estimatesAble to lead junior SA persons and possibly provide feedback on multiple projectsRequired Soft Skills:Good analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional communication skills (written and verbal)Good documentation skillsProficiency in English language (as a medium of communication)Frank and open communication with peers and higher-ups about realistic estimations and meeting timelines/expectations and proactive communication of issues and concerns thereofAssertiveness in communicating ideas, estimates, scope and timelines
