In this critical leadership role, one will provide technical direction, manage complex infrastructure challenges, and serve as the senior escalation point for Linux and virtualization technologies in a high-availability environment. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in Linux Administration to support and troubleshoot RedHat Linux, VMware, and server hardware (x86) such as Dell and HPE, while leading operational excellence, automation initiatives, and technical mentoring across the team.Key Responsibilities:Provide technical leadership and advanced support for Linux RedHat (RHEL 7/8/9/10) in a large-scale, high-availability environmentServe as the highest level of escalation for complex Linux, VMware, and infrastructure-related incidents and problem management activitiesAdminister and troubleshoot VMware vCenter, including virtual machine management, optimization, and strategic platform improvementsSupport server hardware, including Dell and HPE platforms, with advanced experience in ILO/IDRAC managementLead system performance optimization, patching strategies, lifecycle management, and platform modernization initiatives to ensure high availability and operational stabilityDrive automation and configuration management efforts utilizing Ansible, Foreman, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code methodologiesWork with cross-functional teams to diagnose, resolve, and optimize infrastructure issues while influencing architectural and operational decisionsProvide technical mentoring, knowledge transfer, and guidance to team members and partner support organizationsDevelop and maintain operational standards, procedures, and best practices for Linux and virtualization platformsProvide 24/7 on-call support and leadership during major incidents affecting mission-critical servicesRequired Skills (must have):Minimum 9-year experience with advanced Linux RedHat (RHEL 7, 8, 9, 10) administration, architecture, and troubleshooting skillsExpert-level working knowledge and experience in VMware, vCenter, and ESXi AdministrationStrong hardware knowledge of Dell and HPE servers, including ILO/IDRAC toolsAdvanced scripting experience (Bash, Python, Yaml, etc.)Advanced knowledge of Ansible and Foreman for automation and configuration managementDemonstrated experience leading complex technical initiatives and serving as a senior escalation resourceExcellent communication skills, fluent in EnglishExceptional customer service, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement skillsDesired Skills:Strong experience with RedHat clustering and advanced network troubleshootingEstablished vendor relationships (Dell, HPE, Red Hat, Broadcom)Experience with Grafana and enterprise monitoring platformsExperience with Openshift and container technologiesFamiliarity with Service Now WorkstreamExperience developing automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code solutionsExperience leading root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous improvement initiativesEducation/Certifications:Bachelor’s degree (Recommended)In Computer Science, Information Technology or related fieldsRed Hat Certifications:Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) (preferred)Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)Tools and Technologies: Grafana, Log Insight, Bash, Python, Openshift and container technologies, ServiceNow, Ansible automation and patching, Foreman, YAML, iLO/iDRAC, RHEL 7–10, VMware, Defender, Dell EMC Grabs, vSAN clusters, Red Hat clustering, HPE OneView, LEAP patching, Foreman lifecycle workflows, Art tool, EARs, and InfobloxAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
