Tax SupervisorEast Valley CPA firm is seeking a motivated professional to join our Tax team as a Tax Supervisor. This position takes direction from Tax Management. Responsibilities include reviewing less complex and preparing more complex federal and state tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, Individuals and tax-Exempt Organizations.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDirects and supervises the work of Associates and Senior AssociatesReviews basic and moderately complex tax returnsPrepares complex tax returnsRecognizes unusual M-1 itemsPrepares/reviews multi-state tax returnsPrepares/reviews UNICAP and deferred tax calculationsPrepares/reviews accrual to cash conversionsUnderstands consolidated tax return mechanicsInitiates quarterly and year-end tax planning discussionsAbility to identify and communicate open items and obtain items from the clientAbility to navigate and utilize tax research toolsUnderstands the theory behind a position taken on a returnRequirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field requiredCPAMBA or other relevant advanced degree (Master's in Accountancy/Tax) preferredFive (5) or more years of tax experience, including one (1) year of supervisory experienceStrong written and verbal communications skillsExperience with ProSystem fx Tax preferredAbility to work in fixed asset software programsExperience with online tax research tools
