Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description

The General Production Worker supports day-to-day manufacturing operations by loading and unloading materials, assisting with machine processes, and preparing finished products for shipment. This role works closely with machine operators and warehouse personnel to ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and according to quality standards.

• Load and unload product on and off machines in a safe and efficient manner.
• Blend materials as needed according to production requirements and instructions.
• Package finished products accurately and securely to meet quality and shipping standards.
• Label products and packaging clearly and correctly to ensure proper identification and traceability.
• Support shipping activities by preparing packaged and labeled products for dispatch.
• Assist machine operators with running the production area, including setup, basic operation, and general support tasks.
• Handle general production and warehouse duties as needed to maintain workflow and productivity.
• Operate or assist with material handling equipment, as appropriate and trained, to move materials and products within the facility.
• Follow all safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies while working on the production floor.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe and efficient operations.

• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions, labels, and safety information.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs of material and load it into receptacles on a regular basis.
• Ability to push reels, materials, or equipment weighing between 40 and 60 lbs as needed.
• Willingness and physical ability to stand, bend, and stretch throughout 12-hour shifts.
• Experience working in a general production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment (strongly preferred).
• Comfort working with machines and basic machine operating tasks under supervision.
• Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production schedules.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and handling of products.
• Commitment to following safety guidelines and maintaining a safe working environment.

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or warehouse roles is a plus.
• Forklift experience or certification is a plus and may be used in warehouse shipping activities.
• Experience with general labor duties in an industrial or warehouse setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, operators, and team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Openness to feedback and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement of processes and culture.

This position operates in a production and warehouse environment with exposure to machines, materials, and material handling equipment. The role requires working 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., involving extended periods of standing, bending, and stretching. The facility promotes a culture of safety and teamwork, with a structured evaluation after six months that may include a pay raise based on performance. Employees can expect a hands-on, physically active role in a manufacturing setting, with clear processes and support from supervisors and operators.

This is a Contract position based out of Pawcatuck, CT.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Pawcatuck,CT.
