Senior Manager, Corporate Development - M&A Integration

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Corporate Development — M&A Integration plays a critical role in advancing the organization’s mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic growth initiatives. This individual will support multiple transactions simultaneously and partner closely with business leaders and cross-functional teams to plan and execute due diligence, integrations, and separations.

As a key member of the M&A Integration team, the Senior Manager will develop and manage value chain analyses, entanglement assessments, stranded-cost analyses, one-time cost evaluations, service grids, and transition services agreements for acquisitions and divestitures.

The ideal candidate brings strong M&A execution experience, strategic thinking, financial acumen, stakeholder-management expertise, and the ability to deliver results in a complex, matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution and Integration

• Support multiple acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic transactions concurrently.
• Partner with Corporate Development leadership to evaluate, plan, and execute complex transactions.
• Lead critical integration and separation planning activities to support smooth transitions and achieve transaction objectives.
• Develop and maintain transaction workplans, timelines, milestones, risk logs, and governance structures.
• Identify and escalate key risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Review transaction documents and assess operational implications.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Strategy, Operations, Technology, Human Resources, Procurement, and external advisors to define and deliver transaction requirements.
• Support executive-level discussions and communicate status, risks, recommendations, and decisions clearly.

Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement

• In addition to transaction execution, this role will strengthen the M&A function through process improvement and capability building.
• Define and implement strategies that improve M&A processes, methodologies, tools, and governance.
• Develop resources, templates, and best practices that enhance transaction execution.
• Assess how new products, services, and capabilities may affect future integrations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen the M&A function and improve transaction outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Seven or more years of relevant experience supporting complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Five or more years of experience supporting M&A, integration, separation, corporate development, strategy, finance, or related work.
• Demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
• Strong executive communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% (including by plane)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a large, highly matrixed organization.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
• Project management certification, such as PMP or Agile.
• Experience with integration management office methodologies and M&A best practices.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience.
• Master’s degree in business administration, finance, strategy, or a related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
