Inventory Coordinator

GENERAL SUMMARY:Responsible for assisting in the Purchasing, Delivery and Receiving of all stock merchandise.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Enter and transmit purchase orders to suppliers.Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and inventory management system.Work with suppliers to coordinate receiving of inbound materials. Work with suppliers to ensure the inbound materials are received accurately and delivered on time.Send necessary components to suppliers to aid in the production of certain items.Communicate with purchasing, logistics, production, and warehouse teams regarding inventory needs.Coordinate with vendors and carriers on shipment discrepancies or shortages.Identify and resolve any product quality issues with the supplier.Obtain quotes and pricing information from suppliers and maintain supplier pricing spreadsheets.Update and maintain Product, Purchasing, and Supplier Databases.Maintain communication with Customer Service regarding merchandise and delivery issues.Act as an official representative of the Emblem Sales Division at Department Conventions, Conferences, and at the National Convention as needed. Duties at convention include setting up the sales area, selling, resolving problems, packing up, and other tasks as required.Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Assist Managers in all duties as directed.Other duties as assigned.Reports directly to Emblem Sales Marketing ManagerEducation/Technical Knowledge:Two years of college or equivalent business, technical or specialized schooling to have a thorough knowledge of vocation theory and principles.Additional Skills Needed:High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.Self-motivated professional with initiative and a willingness to accept responsibility.Demonstrated problem-solving skills.Highly organized with strong attention to detail.Accounts Payable experience preferred.General business knowledge required.Proficient in computer applications, including data management and word processing.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Familiarity with inventory management systems.Experience:1 year up to 3 yearsSupervision of Others:This position involves no responsibility of authority for the direction of others. Problem Solving:Involves the investigation and analysis of information readily available, interpreting data, planning ahead in the complete layout of work for others.Impact of Decisions:Work involves opportunities for judgmental errors which would result in substantial added costs or reduced efficiency within and between functional units until corrected - usually requires longer time.
