Clinical Outreach Liaison

Trafficking Outreach Coordinator - Heartland Housing Sanctuary At Heartland Family Service, we are committed to building a culture that is trauma informed, values diversity and celebrates inclusion. This position will work as part of the human trafficking team, collaborating closely with the domestic violence sexual assault program service team. The trafficking outreach coordinator will directly oversee operations of the labor trafficking expansion project, partner with internal and external stakeholders to enhance Sanctuary's program structure, and develop more inclusive practices for labor trafficking survivors. Develop and oversee a diverse steering committee, assisting with program compliance and quality assurance related to the project. Advocate on behalf of survivors and programs with all relevant government and non‑governmental organizations. Provide services designed to meet the needs related to immediate safety, trauma recovery, and ongoing support for survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Assist with training, capacity building, and outreach efforts within our service area. Provide guidance on screening and identification of labor trafficking and enhance culturally informed practices for working with refugees and foreign nationals. Recruit, develop, and coordinate a team of community partners, including contracted entities, to support expansion project work. Coordinate administrative and operational duties for the expansion project. Maintain strong partnerships with community stakeholders across sectors, primarily focusing on those who come in contact most frequently with survivors of labor trafficking. Stay aware of community, state, and national factors that may impact the clients we serve. Participate in agency quality improvement teams and workgroups; guide implementation of projects, policies, etc. Assist in developing and evaluating training curricula and workshops. Develop program policies and procedures, monitor implementation, and implement action plans as needed. Maintain accurate data collection systems. Assist in completing all required monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for quality improvement and grant purposes. Be available for emergency situations and case consultations. Participate in weekly team meetings with HFS program staff. Attend community meetings for coordination of services for survivors of human trafficking. Develop, maintain, and share an appropriate dynamic self‑care plan. Contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend‑raising efforts whenever possible. Compensation: $49,200.00–$62,243.00 per year (salary determined by total years of relevant experience) Work Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday‑Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Qualifications: Fluency in written and spoken English; bilingual highly desirable. Two years of experience in social services or a related field. Experience in supervision and service delivery. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Strong understanding of service area landscapes, especially those affected by racial and ethnic disparities (RED) and populations in historically underserved communities. Ability to partner with local and national experts to provide sustained support for HFS and the community as labor trafficking identification and outreach become standard practice. Solid foundation in cultural sensitivity, awareness, and cross‑cultural communication. Capacity to train internal and external professionals on screening and identification of labor trafficking and to enhance culturally informed practices for working with refugees and foreign nationals. Additional Requirements: Essential functions performed on the company’s physical work site. In‑town travel required, including use of personal vehicle. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
