Supply Tech - Per Diem - Encinitas

Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas serves North County’s coastal communities since 1978. Located at Santa Fe Drive and I-5, within walking distance of a park, fitness center, grocery store, pharmacy and restaurants. The campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an outpatient imaging center, with programs including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care, physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day treatment program), a Baby Friendly birthing pavilion, and a Level II neonatal intensive care unit. Responsibilities The Supply Tech is responsible for maintaining par supply areas, including ordering, stocking, replenishing, and delivering supplies to all hospital or clinic areas. Manage storeroom supplies, perform periodic cycle counts, and utilize inventory management systems and handheld devices according to policy and procedures. Check for outdates and recalls of products throughout the hospital and clinic; maintain a clean and organized supply area. Required Experience/Specialized Skills 2-3 years supply experience; knowledge of medical supplies preferred. Must be able to speak, read, and follow instructions in English. Excellent computer skills and interpersonal skills. Required Education/Course(s)/Training High school graduate. Must be able to utilize computer systems, inventory management tools/systems, and handheld devices. Must pass initial 90-day competency and yearly competency as it relates to the position.
