Staff Accountant

Schedule: Full-time, Onsite (Monday–Friday) A growing and well-established organization in the Chicagoland area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team. This is a newly created position driven by company growth and offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while gaining exposure to a variety of accounting functions. Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Record journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed Assist with sales and use tax reporting and compliance Analyze financial information and investigate account variances Support audits and provide requested documentation Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience Strong general ledger and month-end close experience Experience with sales and use tax reporting preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Compensation: Opportunity for growth within a stable and expanding organization This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to broaden their experience and work closely with leadership in a collaborative environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Addison Group
