Accounting Analyst I

Work Environment: In office, 5 days a week Role Profile This is a full-time, on-site role as an Accounting Analyst I (AA I) in our Austin, TX, location. The Accounting Analyst I (AA I) plays an important role in supporting the ongoing administration of special financing districts throughout Texas. This position is responsible for preparing account administration deliverables, maintaining financial and project documentation, supporting stakeholder communications, and ensuring assigned work is completed accurately and on time. Account Administration and Reporting Prepare account administration deliverables, including Service and Assessment Plan (SAP) updates, Annual Issuer Reports (AIRs), Quarterly Developer Disclosures, Draw Requests, Debt Service transfers, Bond Fund reports, and other assigned deliverables. Review data and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established requirements. Assist in maintaining financial records and supporting documentation for assigned districts. Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and submitted within required timelines. Support special projects and additional account administration activities as assigned. Stakeholder Support and Communication Respond to client, resident, and stakeholder inquiries in a professional, timely, and service-oriented manner. Coordinate information requests and provide updates regarding assigned projects and deliverables. Maintain positive working relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders. Demonstrate professionalism, responsiveness, and accountability in all communications. Serve as a dependable representative of P3Works and its commitment to exceptional client service. Documentation and Process Management Maintain accurate and organized project documentation within company systems. Ensure project records, correspondence, and work products are properly stored and easily accessible. Follow established procedures, templates, and workflows to support consistency and quality. Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations to management. Assist with departmental initiatives focused on improving efficiency and operational effectiveness. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. 0–3 years of professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, administration, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and dynamic spreadsheets. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities and business needs. Ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Preferred Experience in government finance, public accounting, bookkeeping, district administration, or a related field. Exposure to public sector accounting, municipal finance, or special financing districts. Experience working with financial software, reporting systems, or databases.
