Demonstrate assessment skills in high and low-risk obstetrical patients to identify potential risks and health issues. + Identify and report maternal and newborn problems to the physician promptly. Assist with the transfer of newborns to other facilities when indicated, ensuring safe and efficient transfers. + Accurately identify and band newborns, mothers, and significant others to prevent mix-ups. + Document all care activities accurately, including band identification numbers in medical records. + Provide care during obstetrical surgical procedures, assisting in the Labor & Delivery Operating Suite. + Perform intraoperative and post-anesthesia care according to established standards. + Conduct steam sterilization processing for instruments and supplies, ensuring all sterilization parameters are met. + Provide emotional support for grieving parents, offering compassionate support and connecting them with appropriate support groups. + Educate and support families about newborn care, health conditions, and post-discharge care. **Education:** + Associate's of Nursing [Required] + Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred] **Work Experience:** + 1+ acute nursing experience [Preferred] **Licenses and Certifications:** + Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] + Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Required] + Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] + Neonatal Med Certification (NEONATAL MED) [Preferred] **Physical Requirements:** (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - **Pay Range:** $33.94 - $57.08 _This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances._ **Category:** Registered Nurse **Organization:** UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale **Schedule:** Full time **Shift:** Night **Req ID:** 153714795
