SoldererEastern Staffing & Recruiting is looking for a solderer for our client in the Binghamton, NY area. As a solderer, you will connect different electronic parts together using soldering methods. You will make sure that electronic products like circuit boards, wires, and other electrical devices work well and are up to standard.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics to understand the soldering requirements for each project.Assemble and solder electronic components onto circuit boards or other electrical equipment according to specifications and quality standards.Inspect finished products to identify any soldering defects or quality issues and assess if rework or repairs are needed.Operate and maintain soldering equipment, including soldering irons, hot air guns, solder pots, and soldering stations, ensuring they are in proper working condition.Clean, flux, and tin soldering tips, ensuring they are ready for use and maintaining their performance.Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.Maintain and update documentation related to soldering processes, including quality control records, inspection reports, and material usage logs.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsAbility to read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics.Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to handle small electronic components and perform intricate soldering tasks.Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of soldering work.Basic understanding of electronic components and their functions.Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve soldering-related issues.Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide feedback on soldering processes.Time management skills to meet production deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.The estimated hourly range for this position is $19-20/hr, though a candidate's salary will be determined on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
