Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 12-Hour Shifts) | Every Other Weekend and Holidays | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to laboring patients across labor rooms, triage and overnight observation rooms, and operating rooms
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status throughout the labor and delivery process
• Assist with obstetric procedures and support care in post-anesthesia care units (PACU)
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
• Provide care in an outpatient obstetrical emergency department (OBED) setting as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery RN experience in a mid- to large-sized hospital setting
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit
• Familiarity with triage, PACU, and obstetric emergency department workflows
