Dental Lab Assistant / Ceramist

In-office | Full-time Grand Rapids, MI

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Dental Lab Technician / Ceramist to join our small team specializing in full-arch restorations. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys precise, artistic work and takes pride in the details that make a restoration look natural.

This role will focus on the hands-on work that gives final restorations their natural appearance and finish. Responsibilities will include staining and glazing, porcelain work, applying opaque, and finishing full-arch restorations. The person will also help with scanning, 3D printers, surgical guides, Essix appliances, and other day-to-day lab tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate has excellent fine motor skills, a strong eye for color and detail, and the patience to do precise work consistently. Artistic ability and a willingness to learn are especially important. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in the quality of their work and works well with a small team.

Dental lab experience is preferred, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities

Assist with the artistic finishing of final restorations, including staining, glazing, porcelain work, and applying opaque
Scan components and assist with case preparation
Operate and maintain 3D printers and help finish printed products
Assist with surgical guides, Essix appliances, and other lab production
Inspect work carefully for quality and accuracy
Support other areas of the lab as production needs change

Qualifications

Strong fine motor skills and attention to detail
An artistic eye for color, shape, and natural appearance
Patience and care when performing detailed, repetitive work
Ability to learn new techniques and follow established processes
Reliability and the ability to work well with a small team

Experience in dental ceramics, dental lab production, or another field involving detailed artistic work is a plus. We welcome applicants who have the right skills and are eager to learn.
