ESCROW TECHNICIAN/CLOSING SCHEDULER | SCHERERVILLE, IN

Full-Time | 100% In-Office

This is NOT a remote or hybrid position.

We're looking for an Escrow Technician / Closing Scheduler to become an essential part of our Schererville team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in title, mortgage, real estate, banking, legal, transaction coordination, or a fast-paced professional office who wants to build a career in the title industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll be one of the central points of communication in our Schererville office—coordinating closings, preparing files, communicating with everyone involved, and making sure transactions stay organized and on schedule.

You'll work closely with our processors, closers, examiners, Realtors, lenders, attorneys, buyers, and sellers to help create the smooth, welcoming closing experience Barrister Title is known for.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys staying busy, thrives on organization, communicates confidently, and takes pride in making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Schedule residential purchase and refinance closings.
• Coordinate closing appointments with buyers, sellers, Realtors, lenders, and attorneys.
• Communicate scheduling details and changes to all appropriate parties.
• Prepare and organize files for upcoming closings.
• Review files for missing information and follow up on outstanding items.
• Monitor transaction timelines, appointments, and deadlines.
• Answer incoming calls and provide knowledgeable, professional customer service.
• Welcome clients and help create a warm, professional closing experience.
• Communicate with Realtors, lenders, attorneys, buyers, and sellers throughout the transaction.
• Assist processors and closers with administrative and escrow-related tasks.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic files.
• Help ensure the closing team has what it needs before clients arrive.
• Jump in wherever needed to keep the office and transactions running smoothly.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous experience in title, mortgage, real estate, banking, legal, transaction coordination, or a related professional environment is strongly preferred.

SoftPro or previous title-company experience is a plus, but not required.
