Schedule : 40 hours per week, Hybrid

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Research Assistant will assist team members in performing research activities using approved techniques. Conducts patient recruitment, consens participants, administers questionnaires, abstracts medical records, maintains patient databases, performs administrative tasks, performs literature searches and participates with the research team in preparation of data and other reports. May also assist the principal investigator with interpreting experimental results, and in preparing and writing manuscripts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Prefer experience in clinical research, public health experience or working with patients with diverse backgrounds.
• Previous experience with recruiting participants, with an understanding of the ethical and technical conduct of research preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
• Bilingual candidate preferred, not required, fluent in spoken and written English, Spanish, and/or Haitian Creole.
• Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of social, racial and ethnic populations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers. Experience with statistical software a plus.
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail

Compensation Range:
$16.35- $22.84
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
