Registered Nurse - Float Pool (MICU)

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM or 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool will provide high-quality patient care across multiple units, including the Surgical/Trauma ICU, MICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiac ICU. Candidates must have extensive experience in intensive care settings, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Provide care for basic ICU patients, including those who are sedated, intubated, and on pressors.
• Perform assessments and document patient conditions in the EMR system (EPIC).
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care.
• Float to various ICUs and Intermediate Care Units as necessary based on staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience.
• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Experience with sedated and intubated patients preferred.
