Practice Setting: In-House Hospital/Call with designated call room
Reason for Coverage: Hospitalist needed to cover Labor & Delivery and ER
Dates of Coverage: Starting August 2025 through March 2026
Schedule: 12- or 24-hour shifts
Call Schedule: Monday to Friday
Shifts In-House or Off-Site: In-house designated call room available
Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 34 laboring patients per day
Number of Physicians in Practice: 6
Other OB/GYN Coverage During Locums Coverage Dates: Residents present; one generalist onsite and one generalist as backup (no other OB/GYNs)
APP Coverage: CNM covers Monday afternoons when residents are in education classes
Office Equipment: Labor & Delivery unit with an OR
Support Staff: RNs and residents
Percentage of Patients C-Section: 30%
Nursery Level: II
Documentation System/EMR: Epic
Board Requirements: Yes
Will You Accept Providers Needing to Obtain State License: Yes
Certification Requirement: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
Required Obstetrics Procedures
Low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
FHR Interpretation NST/CST/FSE
OB ultrasounds Performance & Interpretation (Level I/Screening & Level II/Targeted/Anatomic)
Amniocentesis
Labor & Delivery Required Procedures
Routine Vaginal Deliveries, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
Complicated Deliveries C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc.
VBAC's
Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
Gynecology Required Procedures
Office/Minor Gynecology IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, LEEP
Surgical Gynecology Open
Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Tubal Ligation, LOA's, Chromal Tubation
Operative/Major (Including Diagnostic) Ectopic Pregnancy, Ovary Removal, Cystectomy, Extensive LOA's
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 90120 days (Temps will be requested due to urgency)
