Key Details – Orthopedic RN Travel Assignment Location: Reno, NV 89502 Healthcare Setting: Medical Surgical Ortho-Spine Unit (38 private beds) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15) Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/3/2026) Holiday Requirement: Work 2 of the 3 major holidays during assignment Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800 Qualifications Active Nevada RN license (required prior to start) BLS certification (AHA) – required Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience Orthopedic nursing experience strongly preferred Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Excellent communication and teamwork skills Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing orthopedic and neurosurgical procedures Care for patients with total joint replacements, ortho-spine surgeries, fractures, trauma, limb preservation, wound care, and medical overflow cases Utilize the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and involve families/caregivers in care planning Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality in a busy, trauma-accredited environment Adapt to schedule variations, including weekends and holidays Benefits 401K with Matching, Healthcare, Dental and Vision About GHR With over 30 years of healthcare staffing experience, GHR Healthcare is your trusted partner in finding the perfect contract or permanent role in the healthcare industry.
