Commercial Lines Account Manager

Independent insurance agency seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and service commercial insurance accounts, support multiple producers, communicate with clients and carriers, and ensure accurate and timely handling of commercial insurance policies and documentation.

The ideal candidate should have strong commercial insurance account management experience, an active Property & Casualty license, hands-on experience with Applied Epic, and familiarity with ACORD forms, Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property Insurance, Microsoft 365, and multiple commercial insurance carriers.

Job Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and service assigned commercial insurance accounts from onboarding through renewal.
• Provide day-to-day support to commercial clients and respond to coverage and policy-related questions.
• Work closely with multiple producers to manage client accounts and service requirements.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers regarding quotes, endorsements, renewals, policy changes, and other account matters.
• Prepare and process ACORD forms and other commercial insurance documentation.
• Issue and manage Certificates of Insurance and Evidence of Property Insurance.
• Review policies, endorsements, invoices, and related documents for accuracy.
• Maintain accurate and current client and policy information in Applied Epic.
• Assist with renewals, remarketing, policy changes, and account servicing.
• Handle accounts of varying sizes and levels of complexity.
• Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, producers, and internal team members.
• Manage multiple accounts and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Maintain organized documentation and follow up on outstanding items.
• Provide proactive, relationship-focused service to commercial clients.
• Support the overall account management and retention process.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License required.
• Commercial Lines insurance experience required.
• Hands-on experience with Applied Epic required.
• Experience with ACORD forms.
• Experience handling Certificates of Insurance (COIs).
• Experience handling Evidence of Property Insurance (EOP/EPI).
• Experience working with multiple insurance carriers.
• Experience supporting multiple producers.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance policies and servicing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Client-service-oriented and proactive approach.
• Ability to independently manage commercial accounts of different sizes and complexity.
