Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure EngineerNorthstrat is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to orchestrate and execute over the air (OTA) software deployments to globally fielded systems in a potentially degraded, disconnected, intermittent, and limited (DDIL) connectivity environment. This engineer will be responsible for automating the deployment and security of software, reducing the need for FSR travel while increasing the operational availability of the fleet. Once the software is live, the infrastructure engineer will monitor its health remotely to preempt failures that could impact mission The ideal candidate will be hands-on, security-focused, and comfortable operating in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environmentKey ResponsibilitiesDevSecOpsStrong proficiency with DockerWriting DockerfilesBuilding hardened imagesIntegrating builds into pipelinesHands-on Kubernetes experienceCluster operationsWorkload managementRBACNetworkingTroubleshootingLinux Systems AdministrationInstall, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)Manage system services, patching, and updatesAutomate tasks using Bash, Python, or AnsibleManage system backups and disaster recovery proceduresMonitor system performance and troubleshoot production issuesNetwork EngineeringTroubleshoot and maintain enterprise network infrastructureManage VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP), and switching technologiesMaintain network segmentation and security controlsPerform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle managementMonitor network health and performance using SNMP and other toolsMaintain firewall policies and intrusion prevention systems
