Field Service Technician

Perform customer installation, maintenance, and service calls promptly and effectively Service electromechanical equipment such as self-checkout systems within an assigned territory Perform maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance work, and system overhauls Act as a first-line response to customers Communicate with customers in an open, helpful, and engaging manner Organize and triage customer issues Handle some customer problems before they start Complete formal training to provide customers with required solutions Work with teachers, mentors, and coaches across service territories Requirements Local candidate to specific geographic area Authorized to work in the US At least 18 years of age Valid driver’s license and driving record that satisfies NCR fleet requirements PC skills, basic electronic skills, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Ability to travel extensively, driving several hours per day Willingness to work rotating and weekend shifts Flexible shift work, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times and some holidays Ability to carry and lift tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 150 lbs. with assistance Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects Willingness to be trained on and operate small-scale scissor lifts Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software A+ Certification, CompTIA, N+ Certification One or more years of related experience (preferred) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in servicing electromechanical equipment, including self-checkout systems, while providing exceptional customer support and effective communication. Capable of performing maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
